The launch of the nanoBasque Strategy has been spurred on by the creation of a dynamic support agency to develop that strategy – the nanoBasque Agency.
The nanoBasque Agency was specifically created to coordinate and manage the smooth development of the Strategy, and it is basically a dynamic facilitating agent of the Basque nanotechnology ecosystem that is particularly directed at companies. The nanoBasque Agency has been established as a body with no legal status of its own, which is a member of the SPRI [Association for the Promotion of Industry] and is located in the nanoGUNE headquarters building. The Agency has the definite support of a whole range of Basque innovation system programmes as well as the use of the instruments that are currently available in the system, and it will assume the functions of mobilising Basque businesses, organising a nanosciences Knowledge Community and socialising the value of nanoscience and micro and nanotechnologies.
